About

Dae-Von Bishop

East Palo Alto raised and basketball obsessed since age 10, Dae-Von's path to personal training is one of the most authentic origin stories you'll find. From Eastside College Prep to Sonoma State to Foothill College where he earned his AA in Psychology, Dae-Von's life has always revolved around sport, movement, and community.

The turning point came during his high school basketball season when a bad ankle sprain sidelined him and forced him to look at his body differently. The following summer, he trained at The Riekes Center — came back stronger, healthier, and earned 2nd team all league his senior year. That experience didn't just save his season, it gave him his purpose. He knew then that he wanted to be the person who helps other athletes stay in the game.

At just 20 years old, Dae-Von launched his personal training career at The Riekes Center and hasn't looked back since. With over a decade in the industry, his approach is rooted in keeping people as fit, active, and complication-free as possible — no matter their age or athletic background.

One of Dae-Von's true passions is training groups of middle and high school athletes. He believes those developmental years are the most critical window for young athletes to get faster, stronger, and begin internalizing movement patterns that unlock elite-level performance. The natural competitive energy of group training pushes kids harder than they'd push themselves — and that's exactly the environment he thrives in. He even takes it a step further with basketball skill development on the side for young hoopers looking to level up their game.

When he's not in the gym, you can find Dae-Von shooting hoops, gaming, trying new foods — avocado strictly excluded — and hanging out with his frenchie, Trouble.
